How To Become A Motion Graphic designer
There are two parts to which this specialization is divided:
2D Motion Graphics:
To clarify what most means two-dimensional is to design (draw) the elements graphically and then cut the elements to be ready to move and then sent to one of the specialized programs and then move it. Here are the steps:
- Learn Adobe Photoshop + Adobe Illustrator (Graphics), Then Learn Aftereffect + Adobe Premiere (Animation and Videos).
- Draw Victor elements on Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator.
- Cut the element into parts by visualizing what parts will move independently and into groups.
- We export the components as layers to one of the following animation applications: Adobe After Effects, Tom Boom, or Adobe Animator.
- Now we place the elements that can be moved in groups, then Rigging it, and decide which is moving and which one is static, so the animator can make moving easier.
- Add sounds and then effects and lighting and moving elements according to the scenario and the Story Board.
- Directing the story, episode or movie in its final form
2D & 3D Motion Graphics:
- Learn Autodesk Maya (all kinds of need from modeling to rendering). then Learn RealFlow (VFX).
- Now at a certain stage, you can use the 3D program instead of the 2D animation programs to get interactions and features and the speed, that is a very hand with the usual programs, for example, using Autodesk Maya to animate instead of Aftereffect, so you will get the characteristics and features of the 3D dimensions with the 2d, the result is more literal and creative as well.
We use 3D when the option leaves you according to the nature of the work, it enables you to speed your work to complete it.
